Millions hit the slopes around the world every year and enjoy skiing with their friends and family.
With various snow sports to try out, après ski and hearty food, there’s plenty of fun to have during a ski holiday.
But some resorts don’t quite live up to expectations at times, and research by digital privacy company Privacy Tutor has revealed the spots that receive the most complaints.
Analysis of TripAdvisor reviews looked at various factors including crowds, cost, snowfall, infrastructure, service and accommodation to calculate a complaints score.
Les Deux Alpes, in France, scored 100/100 and proved to be the most criticised ski resort in the analysis.
Some 56.7 per cent of the complaints related to overcrowded slopes and lifts, and 15.3 per cent raised issues with the cost.
The resort is home to the largest skiable glacier in Europe and the ski village is one of the oldest in France.
St Anton am Arlberg, in Austria, followed as the second-most criticised and scored 78.06 per cent.

Like Les Deux Alpes, 48.8 per cent of the complaints were about crowds and 26 per cent had issues with cost.
St Anton am Arlberg is Austria’s largest inter-connected ski area.
A spokesperson for St. Anton am Arlberg’s tourism board told the Daily Mail the resort has mostly positive reviews online and finds the data to ‘reflect the current situation in the ski area only to a very limited extent’.
They added: ‘Against this background, we view such rankings with the necessary caution.
‘An assessment based solely on older TripAdvisor comments can scarcely provide a comprehensive picture of the quality of one of the largest and most innovative ski areas in the Alps.’
Sestriere Via Lattea, in Italy, ranked third with a complaints score of 68.39 per cent.
Differing from the top two, the Italian resort attracted 53.7 per cent of its criticism about outdated infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Serre Chevalier in France came fourth with 58.71 per cent and it’s most common issue, 38.7 per cent, surrounded overcrowding.
In fifth place is Saas-Fee, Switzerland, where 58.06 per cent of complaints were about crowds, 40.2 per cent about costs and 23.9 per cent had issues with the infrastructure.

Avoriaz oin France, Breuil-Cervinia in Italy, Zermatt Matterhorn Ski Paradise in Switzerland, Ischgl in Austria and Grandvalira in Andorra all made the top ten.
Elsewhere, Davos-Klosters in Switzerland ranked the most expensive resort with 91.7 per cent of complaints being about the high costs.
Mayrhofen in Austria came out as the most overcrowded and 78.9 per cent of complaints raised issue with that aspect.
The Daily Mail approached Les Deux Alpes, St. Anton am Arlberg, Sestriere Via Lattea, Serre Chevalier and Saas-Fee for comment.
