Revealed: The seat number to NEVER book on British Airways flights

Where you end up sat on a plane can sometimes make or break the journey. Some passengers prefer the aisle seat and others favour the window.

Many enjoy sitting at the front of the plane to increase their chances of disembarking quickly.

But one passenger found themselves sat in a particularly bad spot for their 14-hour flight.

They travelled from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to London and booked seat 41a assuming it was a window seat.

However, they were quickly disappointed when they sat down and described it as ‘complete hell’.

The passenger penned on Reddit: ‘There’s no window, it’s narrowing as the fuselage narrows so you get less room to your left, they’ve chucked the entertainment box in your footspace and then I was sat next to two larger men.’

A photograph of the seating situation was uploaded alongside the post showing the leg room.

‘It was honestly complete hell. I don’t see how any of that is possibly acceptable in the slightest,’ the passenger raged.

The holidaymaker felt the seat was so bad that it shouldn’t be sold ‘at all’.

Fortunately a flight attendant spotted they were uncomfortable and offered another option for the remaining 13 hours of the flight.

The passenger explained: ‘Luckily after 1 hour the stewardesses felt so bad for me because I clearly looked incredibly squashed (186cm tall) that they moved me for free.’

They went on to urge others to not select the seat in the future and said: ‘I just wanted to warn people never ever ever book this seat.’

The Daily Mail approached British Airways for comment.

Other passengers have found themselves disappointed with their seat choice previously, too.

Roxana Mihaela, @roxanamihaela761, recently posted a video of her experience on TikTok.

During the clip, the camera panned to show inside a Ryanair plane and was captioned with: ‘POV: You book a window seat with Ryanair’.

However, as the video turned, it showed Roxana’s fellow passenger sat next to a wall instead of a window.

Roxana revealed in the comments that it was seat 14F, and one social media user guessed it correctly when they penned: ‘Someone booked a 14A or 14F.’

Another commented: ‘When booking your seat Ryanair tells you that there is no window in that seat, if you don’t pay attention it is not their fault.’

While someone else quipped: ‘This was me today 14A.’
